Saving Buffalo Wild Wings

Roark Capital, the parent company of Arby's, announced on Tuesday that it agreed to buy Buffalo Wild Wings for about $2.9 billion. Buffalo Wild Wings has been struggling with sales over the past year. Roark is acquiring a Company deeply in need for a comeback, and luckily for them they have already done it before. In 2011 Arby's was struggling, posting a $350 million loss. In July the same year they sold a majority stake to Roark. Under their ownership Arby's moved to reset the brand by adding new menu items, underperforming locations, and making their business stand out. The changes worked. Arby's has achieved six years of consecutive quarterly sales growth. One of Roarks executives Brown states, "We look forward to leveraging the combined strengths of both organizations into a truly differentiated and transformative multi-brand restaurant Company."
